Met Building

1990 // Seattle, WA

Seattle’s City Hall straddles the I-5 Freeway ramps into the core of the City’s business district. The fifty-six story landmark breaks with metal and glass highrise traditions by providing personal spaces along its’ streetscape, coupled with an exterior fascade which re-introduces textures and softened edges to an existing harsh commercial landscape. While with Bassetti Norton Metler Architects, Ken developed the tower’s exterior and spaceframe glazed Roof.

1984 // Bellevue, Washington

A multi-use housing project adjacent to Bellevue’s downtown core. This project featured affordable condominiums on in its’ upper stories, posh condominiums atop, and on the lower floors, recreational amenities, Main Floor Commercial, with professional office above. Principal Architect Dick Metler AIA, Project Architect Chris Kirk AIA, Ken Williams, Architect,  dealt with detail design. This project was tabled due to economy at that time.

Alpine Village

1992 // Whitefish, Montana

In the early 1990’s the Alpine Village Center was the flagship, which marked a resurgence in new commercial construction in Whitefish. The Centre’s construction inspired the new Whitefish Credit Union building. Details contained in this building’s design soon cropped up in new structures; notably the extended eaves over walks, and the intriguing clock tower. One local building is a direct copy

Heaven’s Peak Koffee Haus

1995 // West Glacier, MT

Located near the entrance to Glacier National Park, Heaven’s Peak Koffee Haus was designed for seasonal use. The log restaurant featured a manager’s suite, main floor restaurant, spacious decks, and a lower floor utility area. The restaurant recalls forms found on Belton Chalet structures- simple roof lines with massive dormersWindows, proportions, and features found mirror those found on historical local structures. A sprawling deck allows visitors to enjoy views of Glacier National Park’s Lake McDonald Valley.
